Since 2009, Peruvian Soul has been on a mission to showcase the beauty of Peru while creating meaningful connections and making a positive impact on the communities we visit. This passion gave birth to Papanoel Trekero, a project close to our hearts, in our very first year. Fast forward 15 years, and our commitment to bringing joy to Peru’s remote corners is stronger than ever.
This year’s Papanoel Trekero took us to the breathtaking shores of Lake Titicaca, to the vibrant communities of Luquina Chico and Karina. We wanted this milestone year to be truly special, and Puno, a region rich in ancient traditions yet facing significant challenges, felt like the perfect place to celebrate.
The Journey to Puno
On December 7th, our team of enthusiastic volunteers came together, boarding a flight to Juliaca and embarking on a scenic drive to Puno. The excitement in the air was palpable as we prepared for a day filled with magic, connection, and unforgettable memories.
A Day to Remember: December 8th
From the youngest toddlers to energetic teens, and even their parents, our volunteers brought their creativity and energy to life through games, songs, and activities. Together, we laughed, painted, ran, and celebrated the pure joy of imagination. It was a reminder of how little it takes to create meaningful moments and how much we can learn from these amazing kids and teens.
Of course, no Christmas celebration would be complete without Papanoel (Santa Claus), who made a special appearance with gifts, toys, and school supplies. The children’s excitement was contagious as they explored their new treasures and prepared for the year ahead with the tools we provided.
A Special Milestone: Launching the Tinkuy Nuna Foundation
This year was made even more significant with the official launch of the Tinkuy Nuna Foundation. Through this initiative, we aim to turn even more dreams into reality, extending the reach of our future projects and deepening our impact.
Gratitude and Community Support
